hey hey, i'm kaylie!

a detail-oriented & energetic photographer

I find joy in the smallest things, but I truly believe that life should be spent doing the things you love most with the people you love most. I'm a southern girl (grew up in Charleston, SC), so people are my passion. After working in hospitality for 6 years throughout high school & college, I realized very quickly that I love making people happy. And for me, that just so happened to workout where I get to be behind a camera making that happen!

I actually began photographing clients in 2018, but always had my camera by my side since I got my first one in 2013. Throughout college I took photos of my co-workers on the side: headshots, their families, and brand work too. I started doing a little bit of everything until I photographed my first wedding and fell in love with it. Since then, I heavily leaned into weddings & elopements, but offer branding & documentary lifestyle portraits as well. No matter what phase of life you're in, if you're down to have a good time, I am down to capture all your moments for ya!

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

Arizona is my home for now, but my husband and I plan to move back to the east coast in a couple years to be back my our families. Oh and 10 acres of land filled with lots of animals, a massive garden, and our future kiddos running barefoot in the grass is also on our list, but God knows His timing for us on that. So whether we've had the chance to officially meet or not, I'm so glad you're here & I hope to work with you soon! :)

On May 1, 2024 my now husband (Jackson) and I eloped out here in good ol' Arizona. Then this past February we spent the week on the Isle of Palms back in our hometown (Charleston) with all our favorite people for a belated celebration.

It's so crazy to think that I'm now 24 years old and freaking married to my high school sweetheart. It feels like just yesterday I was losing sleep at night because I had a crush on a boy I went to school with, but here we are. Married. Planning our futures. And doing life together.

I prayed when I was younger for someone to do life with. A husband to start a family with. And a best friend I can be so comfortable around. We have a decade's worth of photos together with milestone moments hung up on our walls. Obviously I am biased (being a photographer) but it really is such a blessing to have something so simple hold so much meaning: photos.

My own love story: how I met Jackson

Riding shotgun with my husband while he golfs and I've got a good book in my hands. Any chance I get to soak in the sunshine, I'll be there!

Hitting up any & every antique store that looks like your grandma shops there. My vibe is very Nancy Meyers esque and I am a huge lover of anything with true character.

Taking my Benni girl to run wild at the park. She's our border collie/Aussie cattle dog mix & keeps me on my toes, always.

Trying new local coffee shops & drinking WAY too much espresso. A good ol' lavender latte is my go to but lately I've been obsessed with cherry vanilla lattes.

Baking & cooking everything from scratch. I am a bit of a crunchy gal (as the kids call it) and love eating whole, healthy foods to feel my best!

Tending to my baby patio herb garden. I've only had success growing herbs since I have limited sunlight on my patio, but one day I dream to have a massive garden.

Getting all of my produce from a local market on Saturday mornings. It's the highlight of my weeks & I love getting to know where my food comes from & support local businesses!

when i'm not behind the camera, you'll find me...

why i became a photographer

Photos & videos truly are the only thing we have that allow us to relive the past. They tell stories & show you the moments of what once was. After a moment passes, they are the only thing we have besides the memory itself. Personally, that is something I don't take for granted. In my personal life & as a wedding photographer, having the opportunity to document the monumental times we experience is the greatest gift life can give besides the memory itself.
